STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

DOES NOT TURN ON

For an electric stove won’t turn on, first check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the stove power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is lit, it means another part will need to be repaired. The cause of the problem might be the infinite switch, surface element, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN DOES NOT HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that does not produce heat will not do much. An oven won’t heat if there’s a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. Your burner will not heat when an element breaks or when the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We can fix these common problems in less than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control board on an oven is broken if the program or timer settings aren’t working. In this case, we are able to replace control boards on LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges. We offer a warranty on all of the control panels and the manufacturer parts we use for this oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You always want a hot oven. But not too hot! When the oven heat is too hot, it could be because of a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians know how to identify the reason for the issue and then repair it. But be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is when an igniter glows but it doesn’t light. The cause is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We can determine whether we can repair these appliance parts or if we will have to replace the part.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door issues often. The door will not open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to find out why the door will not open up and then complete the repair in order to fix the issue.
